Trend Micro is the leading independent security provider focused on protecting against a wide range of threats including viruses, spam, phishing, spyware, botnets and data-stealing malware.  Trend Micro has also increased its presence in Mobile during the last year with security, storage and privacy solutions.

 

  • 300% media attention increase in 6 months for Trend Micro.

  • Manage all communications regarding cyber threats, vulnerabilities and related reports.

Microsoft trained company spokesperson for Trustworthy Computing Division. Representing Microsoft Security Response Center (MSRC), Microsoft Security Development Life-Cycle (SDL) and working with additional Microsoft business groups including; Office, IE, Windows,

Forefront, etc.  Public Relations activities include; strategy, key messaging, media outreach, conferences. Proactive campaign management efforts include the Microsoft Security Development Life-cycle (SDL) (www.microsoft.com/sdl) and Microsoft Security Intelligence Report (SIR) (www.microsoft.com/sir). Response team efforts have included Active Template Library (ATL) Internet Information Services (IIS) and various other vulnerability issues which are still active have been resolved.  PR Results were measured using Prime Score, Key Message Pick-up and Tone. In all instances public relations results exceeded targets.

CyberDefender Corporation was an anti-malware software solutions developer with consumer and small business (SMB) focus. The firm's growth was driven by Public Relations efforts. Public relations activities include media outreach, conferences and user-groups. Developed, executed, and managed comprehensive public relations plan designed to penetrate and grow in targeted markets. Communicate with media, management, vendors and customers to coordinate overall effort in accordance with corporate goals for public and investor relations. Worked with investors, product and business development. Select contributions include:
 

  • Company revenues increased 188% from implementation of support partnership with Quattro partnership for full customer support services. This was an offering initiated and planned by me to replace company's initial business model becoming its sole revenue source.

  • Hired internal and external resources to manage and execute vision of PR and IR.  This includes: working with key investors, outside agencies, graphic designers, and Industry experts and analysts for additional communication strategies.

  • Managed events such as RSA, and press events such as Showstopper during CES and other key trade events including a Mooninite sign raffle during the RSA conference - one week after sign shut down Boston.  Bloggers called it the best advertisement at the conference.

MeziMedia Corporation

ValueClick acquired MeziMedia for $352 Million in July 2007. MeziMedia was the parent company of Smarter.com, a comparison shopping search website; CouponMountain.com, the largest global online shopping coupon database; and MoreRebates.com, a site providing additional shopping rebates to companies and users who use this site while shopping). Prior to my joining, MeziMedia had 18 press mentions. Media coverage increased to 1,300 stories including (10) major TV stories, (5) Forbes articles, (3) Wall Street Journal.
 

  • Managed global announcements and specifically news announcements for the US sites and Asian sites in China, Japan and Korea. This includes coordinating product launches and site enhancements for news distribution for appropriate global media.

  • Supervised global PR efforts traveling to company offices in Shanghai, Tokyo, and Los Angeles.

  • Developed company marketing and communication materials, press room, media tools, and solutions including development of the company's first media databases and tracking solutions.

Panda Software is a manufacturer and developer of antivirus and security hardware, software and web delivered solutions. During my times supervising Public Relations activities in the US the companies' awareness dramatically improved, the company enjoyed substantial growth in the amount and quality of product reviews.

 

  • Panda Software saw a 500% increase in web traffic directly attributed to PR and Media coverage increases additionally revenue also increased that year by $30M.

Through innovative proprietary technology, users are able to create a one-of-a-kind personal station to broadcast worldwide. Live365's tools (including Meetings365 & Studio365) and network enable traditional radio stations, record companies, government, city and civic community groups with an easy solution to stream audio over the Internet.   • Increased Live365's media coverage over 500% while reducing marketing expenditures by $240K per year

  • Achieved #1 Internet Radio Network 10/2001 (Arbitron).

  • Primary company spokesperson, interviews included: CNN, CNNfn, TechTV, KTLA & KABC LA, features included:  Business 2.0, Forbes, Time and ON Magazine and trade press.
