LIVE365 WINS 2001 WEBBY AWARD FOR THE PEOPLE’S VOICE “BEST MUSIC SITE”
Live365 (www.live365.com), the world’s largest Internet broadcasting community with over 40,000 Internet radio stations, received the “People’s Choice” Webby Award for Best Music Site last night during the International Academy of Digital Arts & Sciences 5th Annual Webby Awards at the San Francisco’s War Memorial Opera House and were webcast at webbyawards.com and abcnews.com. The Webby Award, the leading international honor for Web sites and individual achievement in technology and creativity, indicative of an explosive year in growth for Live365 where they increased their total Internet radio stations from 14,000 last July to just over 40,000 today. The site provides users with free access to listen to any of their unique stations at anytime, and innovative proprietary technology to create their personal, unique station to broadcast to a worldwide audience. “The Live365 team is elated to win a Webby Award,” said Alex Sanford, CEO of Live365. “It was our individual broadcasters, our partners and our staff who made this honor possible.
