Alan Wallace Biography



After many years on the radio on stations like WSIX, KNIX, Z107 and even with a short stint as a foreign correspondent for UPI, I made the jump to public relations. In 1995 I became co-founder and CEO of InterActive Agency (the first advertising and public relations firm focused on the Internet). iAgency's clients included the Dodgers, Warner Bros, AOL, Happy Puppy, Engage Games Online, the Palace etc.


In 2000, I sold iAgency to my business partner and joined Live365 as the companies VP of marketing and public relations. It soon became the #1 Internet Radio Network.


Since 2003, which also includes some wonderful years @ MeziMedia (which was acquired by ValueClick), I developed an expertise in cyber-security which also became my career focus. This all began for me at Panda Security as its VP of Public Relations. I have served with Trend Micro as its company’s Global Senior Public Relations Manager focused on Mobile and Cyber Security as well as Microsoft's Trustworthy Computing Division as a Senior Manager focused on the MAPP program, SIR reports and Conferences such as Blackhat and CanSecWest.

Currently, I am the Chief Communications Officer for Cosmic Wire (www.cosmicwire.com)

Some of my career highlights include:

 

  • Senior Contributor/ANewDomain.net, article "An Open Letter to Tim Cook" republished by Guardian UK. Apple executive team responded positively.

  • Innovative key accomplishment for Afilias was acknowledged by the Guinness World Records organization. Afilias received honor with a ceremony from GWR. Attending key members included the company and its Australian partner to accept the award. A press release was issued, and a team photo was displayed on a Video Billboard in Times Square. Afilias now holds an official record with Guinness World Record for “Largest Migration of an Internet Level Domain in a single transaction.

  • Secured above the fold front page New York Times coverage for China focused cyber-threat story in the Friday and weekend edition.

  • Expanded company recognition for Trend Micro with national press supporting its sales & marketing teams with Washington DC media junket which resulted in prime news coverage with three appearances on Fox Business Channel, Washington Post, Ars Technica, New Yorker Magazine, Christian Science Monitor, Federal Media, Rob Pegoraro. Initiated groundbreaking Trend Micro PR/social media campaign for2010 consumer solutions launch, secured 300% media coverage increase compared to previous launches.

  • Social media trainer for retiring "Top Gun" Officers/Marine Corps Air Station Miramar (San Diego, CA). Instructed Officers on building social media presence for professional opportunities after service retirement.

  • Alongside of a Live365 Engineer, helped to create the very first Wireless Streaming Internet Radio (made with a streaming Mp3 app for the iPAQ and a Ricochet wireless card)

  • As a photographer, I also have photo credit with the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame for one of my images having been used in celebration of Chuck Berry.
     

I live in Bucks County, Pennsylvania and am available to relocate or work from home.
