Your card statement should not read like a film festival program. If it does, this is how you fix it. The method is simple: use the perks you already pay for, take the best carrier bundle, and only buy retail when it is clearly worth it.

Start with What You Already Have

Instacart+

Open Instacart+. Activate Peacock Premium with ads for zero dollars. That knocks one fee off your list.

Walmart+

Open Walmart+. Choose one included streamer. Pick Paramount+ Essential if Instacart+ already covers Peacock. Another fee gone.

Two clicks. Two services. Zero new spend.

The Verizon $10 Perk

Log in to your Verizon Wireless or Fios account. Add exactly one ten dollar perk that matches your viewing:

Option A

Netflix Standard with ads plus Max with ads - $10 per month total.

Option B

Disney+ plus Hulu plus ESPN+ with ads - $10 per month total.

Choose based on what you actually watch each week. If you have a second eligible line or a home account, you can add the other bundle too.

Caution: If you ever remove a bundle, check that dormant standalone subscriptions do not wake up and start billing again.

For Everything Else - Go Annual During a Sale

Anything not covered by perks goes annual during a sale. Black Friday and Prime Day are your friends. Annual pricing often cuts the effective monthly cost by 15 to 40 percent. If a service is not pulling its weight this month, pause it.

One rule: Do not start core subscriptions through iTunes or Amazon Channels unless a short promo is undeniably better. Those routes often block carrier bundles and annual deals and make switching messy later. Go direct when you can.

The Full Stack at $20/Month

Paramount+ EssentialWalmart+ perk$0
Netflix + Max (ads)Verizon $10 perk$10
Disney+ + Hulu + ESPN+ (ads)Verizon $10 perk (2nd line)$10
Total - all six majors$20/month

Before taxes. That beats list price by a wide margin.

The 4-Step Checklist

  1. Write down what you will watch in the next 90 days.
  2. Claim Instacart+ and Walmart+ perks first.
  3. Add one Verizon ten dollar perk that fits your viewing. Add the second only if you have another eligible line or home account.
  4. Everything else goes annual during a sale. Pause what you are not using.
